Is the library open to the public?

Answer

Yes! The Whittemore Library is open to everyone, including current students, alumni, community members, and visitors. You do not need to check-in or present an ID to use the library space. There is free public wifi available.

If you would like to check out materials, you will need a library card. FSU students have a library barcode on the back of their student ID’s. Community members may use their regular Massachusetts public library card (Minuteman Library Card) to check out materials. If you do not have either of these, you may register for a new Minuteman Card at the front desk and then check out materials with it.
